Your Child's First Dental Visit
Our office goal is to take care of your child’s individual dental needs. We hope your child feels well cared for and special on each visit to our office.

Before the First Visit
The first visit to the dentist can be exciting and somewhat intimidating for children and their parents. We have taken care of children for almost twenty years, so we have a few tips for you. Try to remain positive, and let children know that a visit to the dentist is a normal, exciting part of growing up. If you have dental fears and phobias, let us do the talking! Children can pick up on their parents’ feelings about things, so if you aren’t a good dental patient yourself, it is better to let us explain everything to your child.

The First Visit
We would like you to come back with your child on the first visit so that you can see how things are done at the office.
We hope this will make you feel comfortable and knowledgeable about our office. If you feel your child will do better without you, we’d like you to observe us from the window. At the end of the first visit after Dr. Goodman, Lochary , Sperat or Jacksoni “count” the teeth and “take pictures” of them, they will discuss any findings with you and set up any necessary treatment. If you have a specific question or concern please feel to share this with us. You will have a chance to meet and speak with our dentists in a private consultation room before setting up any necessary treatment.
